When asked to the SEO Guru Matt cuts about "How much you use the keywords or the keywords meta tags for better ranking ? He answered "Not at all". According to Matt - suppose Alex has Alex.com and bob has  bob.com and may be Bob takes Alex name and put it in his meta tags. Alex sees that and gets angry and ask bob to remove his name from the Mata tags.

Here the big question is "How much should Alex be worried about Bob using his name in his Mata tags ?'. In fact, according to Matt Cutts, Google don't use meta tags for search rankings so Alex shouldn't worry about it at all. Well other search engines might be using  meta tags for ranking, but Google doesn't -he added. But Google do use the meta tags for customized search results. For example if one wants to search by meta tags and etc.

For the main core web search Google don't use the meta tags information at all for giving any kind of rankings. Here it must be noted that Google use Meta description for giving some minor ranking as it is displayed in the search results. So its the 'Meta Descriptions' which are really important than the Meta tags.

So you shouldn't worry much about the meta tags issues and should rather concentrate more on creating original compelling contents and developing fantastic websites or blogs. Thank you for reading this article. And keep visiting RB for more updates on SEO.
