To tell the number on the top face of the die, covered with a paper-cup, without looking at it. props: a die, a paper cup. Adv. Pre: On one side of the cup, cut a hole about 1 cm in diameter through which the number on the die can be seen. Hold the cup in such a manner that the hole remains hidden under your thumb and show it to your spectators but be careful not to let the cup come in the position from where hole is visible to the audience. In front of the spectators, put the die in the cup, shake it well and invert it now on the table, keeping the hole towards you. No one on the earth can tell the number appearing on the top face of die except one who knows Magic-Saying this and having a glance through the hole of the cup with a little bit of acting declare the number. Remove the cup and when the die will show the number as announced by you, the audience recognize you as a perfect magician. |
