Ask ten of the spectators to name the well known personalities of their liking whose names you write down on separate pieces of paper. At the end, when a spectator takes out one of these ten mixed slips, it will bear the name which you have already written on a slate. How?

Props: ten small cards or a small paper pad, one slate and chalk, a pencil and a hat

Adv. Pre: x x x x x x x x x x x x x

Just ask the name of a famous person from any of the spectators, write it down on pad or card and drop it in the hat.

Now ask from the second spectator but write on this card also the name which you have written earlier. So when you drop it in the hat there will be two cards with similar names.

Proceeding further, go on asking a new name and writing down the same name everything on separate cards. Now write the same name on the slate also and keep it somewhere with its backside facing the audience.

Mix up the cards kept inside the hat and ask a spectator to take out just one and read it aloud.

With all dignity reverse the slate to show the audience that the same name had already been written by you on the slate. But don't forget to destroy the remaining cards quickly.
