Thread one poppin ring (popular candy) on a string and b ring both the ends of string together. Then put all the remaining rings into this double string. Now while a spectator holds the ends of string, you can remove all the rings except the first one. props: A packet of poppin rings (with holes in the central). A piece of string about 60 cm long. Adv. Pre: x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x Thread a poppin ring on the string and bring both ends together. Now thread the rest of the rings on this double string where they are held by the first one. Carefully thread a last ring on the single string and keep it hidden (as shown in illustration) behind your hand. Ask one of the spectators to hold the ends of the string. Cover it with a handkerchief and remove you hand. Divert audience's attention by your talk and take both hands under the handkerchief. Break the first ring and let others drop on the table. Conceal the broken pieces of ring under your third and fourth finger and now remove the handkerchief which shows that one ring is still threaded on this string. Put the handkerchief in your pocket together with the pieces of broken ring. |
